
CEB Maintenance is an IT services entity recently acquired by the JSE-listed UCS Group.Hardware maintenance service and support was identified some years ago by UCS as a strategic component in their endeavour to meet current and future customer needs. The acquisition of CEB maintenance has provided significant critical mass as a platform on which to enhance the range of services that UCS can offer the retail industry.
Since CEB Maintenance inception in 1987, they have established themselves as one of South Africa's leading “Third Party Maintainers”, particularly in the retail sector of the economy.
CEB are contracted to provide on-site hardware services at most of the country's Tier 1 retailers. Large corporate retailers in the food and fashion sectors like, Woolworths, Truworths, the Foschini Group, Mr. Price, Metcash, Pick 'n Pay, Clicks, Shoprite Checkers and Spar have been long standing customers.Through their natural growth and well-established National infrastructure, the Company has been able to offer a multitude of ancillary services that are tailor-made for the Retail sector. These service offerings included, specifically; project planning, installations, revamps and implementation - the whole integration process.
CEB has a staff compliment of over 500 dedicated and skilled people based at their 14 service depots throughout South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. Through this infrastructure, CEB has grown as a “Third Party Vendor” with an enhanced reputation of being a top rate service provider in the more remote areas of the country. This has been achieved through an exchange and replacement policy that precludes lengthy on-site repairs and minimises downtime in the on-going quest to perform within the limits of Service Level criteria.
